Clearwater camps are the place to be this summer! Traditional summer day camp programs will be offered at Countryside Recreation Center, the Long Center, North Greenwood Recreation & Aquatic Complex and Ross Norton Recreation Complex.

Campers at all city recreation centers will participate in a wide variety of fun activities. Each week has a different activity and theme sure to keep campers busy. Along with fun and games, campers will learn about positive character traits, such as teamwork, courage and service.

with icebreaker games, ending the week
with a giant water slide.

Campers will enjoy a wet and wild day
at Morningside Recreation Pool and
Splash Harbor.

Walk on the Wild Side

Monkey around with the animals of
ZooTampa at Lowry Park, and enjoy
a day at Clearwater Beach on the Sea
Screamer speedboat.

Week 4: June 24-28
Sailors & Mermaids

Splish splash your way to Weeki
Wachee Kayaking and Buccaneer Bay.

Week 5: July 1-5
An All-American Blast

Celebrating the red, white and blue with
a delicious cookout at Philippe Park.

 

Week 6: July 8-12
Race to the Finish Line

Campers get to race their way to first
place at Grand Prix and Celebration
Station.

Week 7: July 15-19
Time to Level Up

Play the day away at PK’s Play Zone
and Dave & Buster’s.

Week 8: July 22-26
Winter in July

Spend winter in July while ice skating,
bowling and cooling down in the heat
with a thirst quenching Kona Ice.

Camp Outback’s Got Talent

Impress the audience with your talent
and skills at our inaugural “Camp
Outback’s Got Talent” competition.

Elementary & Middle School Summer Camp
(entering grades 1-8)

Campers will participate in structured activities, including weekly field trips, daily swimming, games, arts and crafts and sports. Campers will learn about a different character trait each week, and they also will make new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Middle/High School Summer Camp
(ages 11-17)
North Greenwood is the place to be for teens. Campers will participate in structured activities, including fiel trips, swimming, games, arts and crafts, sports and more. This camp is funded through a grant from the Juvenile Welfare Board.

Specialty Camps

Junior Beach Lifeguard Camp

Want to know what it is like to be
a lifeguard on bright and beautiful
Clearwater Beach? Find out firsthand
by participating in this exciting camp.
Participants will learn, train and
work along actual Clearwater Beach
lifeguards. Each participant will receive
an official Clearwater Beach Lifeguard
shirt, first aid lessons including CPR
certification, and learn basic lifeguard
rescue skills – swimming, paddle board
and jet-ski rescues.

100 yards unassisted, tread water for
five minutes and swim underwater
for at least 10 feet.

Tennis Camp

This program offers the most exciting
and fun tennis camp ever. It focuses
on stroke techniques, match play and
fun tennis games. Bring snacks, water,

Summer Camp
(ages 5 and older)

Autism Summer Tennis Clinic

Sailing Camp

Clearwater Community Sailing Center is the place to spend summer on the water. All experience levels are welcome. For the safety of each student, campers must be the correct age for the camp group for which they are registered. All registrations are subject to approval.

Little Puffs
Campers age 5-7 will sail with an instructor learning about the wind and water. The main focus is to have fun and be safe.
• 9 a.m.-noon or noon-3 p.m.
• $175/week for a.m. or p.m. session
• $295/week to attend both a.m. and p.m. camps

Pram Camp One
Pram Camp One is for first-time sailors ages 8-12 or up to 120 pounds. This camp offers a basic level of sailing, focusing on the fundamentals while having a great time on the water.
• $270/week for CCSC members
• $295/week for non-members

Pram Camp Two
Pram Camp Two is a great camp available to sailors who have already completed Pram Camp One or who are ready to advance their skills. Pram Two is for sailors ages 8-12 or up to 120 pounds.
• $270/week for CCSC members
• $295/week for non-members

Windsurfing
Windsurfing is a more physical sport and requires balancing on the board while sailing at the same time. Clearwater Community Sailing Center (CCSC) has equipment specially designed for beginners so that getting on the water is fast and fun. Campers should be at least 70 pounds. All experience levels are welcome.
• $270/week for CCSC members
• $295/week for non-members

420 Camp
This camp is for those ages 12-17. 420s are two-person boats that are great for beginners and experienced sailors alike.
• $270/week for CCSC members
• $295/week for non-members

Water Adventure Camp
This program is for campers ages 10 and older. Campers will be sailing primarily on Hobie Waves. Adventure camp also includes other fun activities, such as kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. All experience levels are welcome.

 Counselor In Training (C.I.T.) Program:

Summer camp kids playing
Young adults entering 9th grade or up who enjoy being a role model for children and are looking for a fun and rewarding way to spend their summer are encouraged to apply for one of our C.I.T. positions. C.I.T.’s are needed at all Clearwater Camp locations and are a valuable part of our camp team. Call the recreation center of your choice to set up an interview.

Cost: $150 with a Recreation Card, or $165 without a card for the entire summer. Fee covers cost of field trips.
