BayCare Ballpark BayCare Ballpark opened in 2004 and is the home of Phillies Spring Training and Clearwater Threshers. The Phillies have been training in Clearwater, Florida, since 1947 and is the second-longest affiliation between a major league club and its spring training home in baseball. Duke Energy Trail Clearwater section adopted by the Clearwater Boy Scout Troop 413, the Duke Energy Trail is 22.5 miles long and connects to the existing Pinellas Trail. The route utilizes power line corridors for most of its extent. Parking for the trail is available adjacent to BayCare Ballpark, 601 N. Old Coachman Road and Northeast Coachman Park, 1120 Old Coachman Road.
