Coachman Park is located in sparkling Downtown Clearwater behind our main library. This waterfront, open-air venue provides a magnificent backdrop for concerts, festivals and exhibitions throughout the year. Listen to some of your favorite national recording artists perform on the Charles Wharton Johnson Pavilion while you take in waterfront views and stroll along brick paved walkways.

Directions

Coachman Park is located on the waterfront in downtown Clearwater and is accessible from Drew Street or via Cleveland Street (State Road 60).

FROM TAMPA:

  • Take SR 60 to Clearwater
  • Follow SR 60/Gulf to Bay Boulevard through downtown Clearwater
  • Make a right at Osceola Avenue
  • The venue is on the left

FROM ST PETERSBURG:

  • Take US Highway 19 to SR 60
  • Head West on SR 60
  • Follow SR 60/Gulf to Bay Boulevard through downtown Clearwater
  • Make a right at Osceola Avenue
  • The venue is on the left

Directions for Coachman Park Events Parking

Ample public parking and limited metered parking is available nearby. For more information on public parking locations, please refer to the City of Clearwater's Downtown Parking Facilities Map. During events, Handicap parking is available on a first come, first served basis and is located at the bottom of the hill, Lot 14. Lots 2 & 5 will require an event parking pass. These lots are accessible through the Clearwater Main Library/Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure parking lot on Osceola Avenue just north of Cleveland Street. Downtown parking meters are not enforced after 6 p.m. on Fridays and all day Saturdays and Sundays.

Dos and Don'ts

The following items and practices are not permitted at the events:

  • No pets, except assistance animals
  • NO grills or open flames of any kind
  • NO glass containers or bottles
  • NO coolers, food or drinks
  • NO unauthorized vendors
  • NO tents, canopies or umbrellas
  • NO audio/video recording devices
  • NO throwing objects such as footballs, Frisbee’s, etc.
  • NO in-line skating, skateboarding
  • NO littering
  • NO personal fireworks

DO bring

  • Lawn Chairs and Blankets
  • One sealed bottle of water per person is permitted

Photography Policy

The Parks & Recreation Department regularly takes photos of participants in our classes, special events, and other recreational activities. The photos are for Department use and may be used in presentations, brochures, and fliers. If you do not wish to have your picture taken, please tell the photographer.

Liability

The City of Clearwater assumes no responsibility for personal injury or loss of personal property while using City facilities or participating in recreation activities.

Clearwater Harbor Marina

Coachman Park is also the location of the Clearwater Harbor Marina. There are 126 boat slips as well as 1,700 feet of overnight space for visitors 700 feet of space for daytime visits and special events that are happening in downtown. The daytime tie-up space is free.

Slips are available to anyone that is interested, regardless of residency, on a first-come, first-served basis. The boat slip lengths range in size from 30 feet to 55 feet. There are slips currently available and the boat must fit within the area of the slip.

The rates for the slips are as follows:

  • Residents: $9 per foot – length of the slip
  • Non-residents: $10.50 per foot – length of the slip

The boat slips facility includes 24-hour security, restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, electricity and cable hook-ups and a pump-out service. For more information or if you are interested in renting a slip, call 462-6954
